Local Comfort Keeper wins National Award for Senior Caregiver Jobs
One of only eight caregivers chosen out of 25,000
Simone Chance from Cary NC was recently honored for her exceptional compassion, companionship and extraordinary service that she provides to her clients as a Comfort Keeper of the Year at a special ceremony to honor her work held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 during the Annual Comfort Keepers® Leadership Conference in Boca Raton, Florida which celebrates senior caregiver jobs.
Simone spoke about her history, her experience with senior caregiver jobs, and what the award meant to her.
"My passion to be a Comfort Keepers stems from seeing my loved ones well taken care of by people that were not always family, but were there to provide a positive service and companionship. So I took it upon myself to invest as much as time and education into becoming the best caregiver that I could become."
"What's rewarding to me, overall, is that he's happy. That the family, they're happy. […] They don't have anything to worry about, and they know that they can depend on me. And that's satisfying within itself - that someone can depend on me, and I can give them what they need."
"To be recognized by Comfort Keepers as Comfort Keeper of the Year is a great honor," said Simone. "I am humbled at being selected from among so many truly dedicated caregivers all over the country. It is truly a special honor that I will cherish."
"I just don't know how to explain it. I feel like as a person it just makes me want to work harder, makes me want to give so much back to the company for appreciating the things that I feel are just day-to-day activities that help people be as normal as possible."
Simone truly embodies the very best of the values that our caregivers so willingly share with our clients, and we are fortunate to have her on our team. We are lucky to have her take on one of our senior caregiver jobs. Thank you, Simone, for all the hard work that you do to provide excellent care.
